William the Freak

One of the main challenges as an educator is to find engaging lessons that students can buy in. Such was the case when i started teaching computer graphics concepts to high schoolers years ago.

William the Freak was born out of that. The need to create a project based lesson that was creative and fulfilling for the students too.

With the introduction of the different elements in design (color, shape, form & substance) this lesson was supposed to represent a new novel by Stephen King. A fictions novel at that, but an effective tool for our students to dive-in and experiment the different photographic filters included in the software.

Our students enjoy creating a book cover every semester.
